Merry Christmas

Well, we wanted to wish all our friends and family a very Merry Christmas. This year has been great!!! Besides getting married, Julie and I have moved into a great little apartment and while Julie has been super busy with school I have found a great job in Idaho Falls with the University of Idaho. Right now it is only part-time and with me going back to school in January I am ok with that. I will also resuming math tutoring at school when the semester starts. I am excited to get back in the swing of things but 20 hours in Idaho falls and 20 hours at BYU-I plus a load of 12 credits does have me a little nervous too. We have enjoyed being close enough to Julie's family to be able to visit and enjoy their company along with their newest edition Julie's niece Chloe. However, we do wish we were closer to visit my family in Texas too. Again we would like to send our love and wishes to all our friends and family this wonderful holiday season.

Married Life is a BUSY life

So me and Jules got married on Thursday, September 3rd and it was AMAZING! after that we have had a marathon of activities. We had a reception in Utah the day after our wedding (Friday) and then woke up early Saturday morning to fly to the reception in Texas. Then we packed all my stuff up from Texas on Monday and on Tuesday we started the drive back to Idaho so Jules could start class on that Thursday.

Since then we have been busy unpacking, going to classes, and job hunting. I finally have a job interview for a job I would like to have. I am really excited for that :)

I will try to get some wedding pictures posted soon as we should get them this weekend.

ohhh yeah and Jules and I had our first fight the other week... a water fight! we tried soaking each other with little misting bottles... it got real good when Jules slipped and I poured a glass of water all over her :)

Part Two

On date number two I took Julie out to dinner at Wingers and then we went to see the Star Trek movie at the theatre in rexburg. Dinner was good but, what I remember most is how easy it was to talk to her and how comfortable I felt being around her. I really felt like being myself with Julie. The movie was great, the company was AMAZING!

The rest is history. We have been together ever since and every day gets better :) We compliment eachother better than I ever thought possible. Life is truly AMAZING! Not only do I get to marry a beautiful caring woman but, I get to marry my best friend.

How it all started...

Well, I don't always have a lot of time to sit down and type but, I wanted to start a little blog about Julie and me. A few days before the GYRAD (get your roomate a date) dance at school I got a call from my chemistry lap partner and FHE mom, Megan, setting me up on a date with Julie. It was kind of like a blind date although I knew who she was since we had been in the same ward for a few months already and we were in the same FHE group. I wasn't sure about the whole set-up thing since I wasn't sure how intrested Julie was and I didn't want to feel overbearing or anything. after a 30 minute or so discussion on the phone with Megan I agreed to call and ask Julie on a date. So I called Julie up and asked her out, she said yes :) it was great. The day of the dance I got a text message from Julie telling me the dance was themed with something like dress up as your favorite movie star. Through texting we decided to dress up as Alfalfa and Darla from "Little Rascals." I spiked my hair and got a ribbon that I tied in a bow to give my best bowtie impression. (I couldn't find any place that had bow ties in rexburg.) So, I picked her up and all dressed up we went to AppleBee's for dinner and the hostess but our name down as Alfalfa. After dinner, we ended up at the dance. The first song Julie and I danced to was Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing." To make a long story short, we danced, got tired, left, went to Julie's apartment, watched "Little Rascals" together. Things were going great and I felt a real connection with Julie so I got the guts to make a move, I put my arm around Julie!! While talke and watching the movie, I decided to push my luck and ask for a second date. (by the way she said yes with a huge grin on her face and gave me a huge case of the butterflies)
